This device, comprising 10 chevrons, is used to suggest momentum and dynamism. However, separate chevrons can also be used for graphic signposting.
To give a sense of movement and direction it always points to the right, and each individual arrow has a specific tint value graduating from 10% – 100%, as indicated opposite.
Colour
The arrow device can either appear in one of our colours on a white background or white out of a background colour.
On imagery
When used on an image use percentages of transparency/opacity to allow the image to show through (the same tint values apply 10% – 100%).
When used with our logo, ensure that the arrow device does not dominate. Use the specifications for a our graphic panel as a guide to the correct relationship.
The arrow device has been specially drawn and must not be recreated.
Primary and flexible uses
- The arrow device is used primarily in the graphic panel and has a fi xed position and size in relationship to the other elements.
Flexible use
The arrow device can be applied more flexibly, either in size, position or number of individual arrows.
- Within a document the arrow device can be used small to support a section heading or very large on a divider page.
- Online, three individual arrows have been utilised as a button graphic as part of the navigation.
- Within charts and diagrams an individual arrow can be used.
