Core colour
Our core colour is LD Blue and is used for our logo when it appears on a white background, i.e. our letterhead.
Supporting colours
Our supporting colours utilise the NHS colour palette. These bold colours are to be used flexibly throughout all of our communications and have not been allocated to specific departments or services.
Graphic panel colour
The graphic panel is comprised of the logo panel (top) set at 100%, and the headline panel set at tint or transparency of 70% – 80%. Use transparency when applying an image in the background, ensure that the image is visible through the panel. Use a tint when
the document has a white background.
Tints of colour
Colours are generally used at 100% but tints can be used sparingly, for example to aid differentiation in charts and graphs without appearing too multi-coloured.

The colours shown on this page and throughout these guidelines should not be used for colour matching and do not match the PANTONE® Colour Standards. For accurate PANTONE® Colour Standards please refer to the current edition of the PANTONE® Colour Formula Guide. PANTONE® is a registered trademark of Pantone Inc.
The web and RGB colours are the closest equivalents to Pantone references, however they may need to be adjusted for on screen legibility and accessibility depending on how they’re used.
